What Do I Need? was written in 2023 after a year of what felt like continuous heaviness. One day I was sat on the edge of my bed and this question kept getting louder and louder in my head, I then reached for my guitar and wrote this song almost instantly. The next day I sat at my piano and still felt this overwhelming feeling of not knowing what it was that I needed to make me feel less heavy, so I started playing the song that I had just written. As well as soothing this feeling that felt unmovable, I knew straight away that this was more of a piano piece. That same week I recorded 'What Do I Need?' in my studio. I wish for this song to help others as it has helped me to realise that sometimes we just need to stop and ask ourselves 'What Do I Need?'more
